Anacomp's Commitment to Accessibility and Universal Design

SAN DIEGO, CA - January 10, 2007: A leader in document management services, Anacomp is proud to announce its worldwide commitment to accessibility and universal design. This strategic step will allow Anacomp's docHarbor Online service, to reach everyone - including customers with disabilities and age-related limitations.

TecAccess, a professional services company that provides accessible IT solutions, partnered with Anacomp to validate the company's docHarbor Online service, conforming to industry regulations and standards, including Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act.

"Anacomp's accessibility commitment demonstrates the company's longstanding goal to connect people to the power of web technology, helping ensure that every customer - including people with disabilities - can access docHarbor Online," explains Debra Ruh, Founder of TecAccess and award-winning accessibility expert.

Compliance with Section 508 guidelines makes it possible for people with visual impairments to be able to navigate websites. By using assistive technologies, such as screen readers, users can now "listen with their ears" to retrieve and use information stored in the docHarbor repository.

Integrating accessibility features into the design of docHarbor Online meant embracing rigorous environmental and accessibility requirements to meet - and exceed - current accessibility standards. "This is yet another way of enforcing our corporate philosophy of weaving diversity and inclusion into the fabric of our growing company - and more importantly in everything that we do," says Corey Meitchik, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Anacomp.

While these milestone achievements reflect an overall accessibility commitment, the docHarbor view of document management has always been to enable customers to improve their own business or governmental processes with credible document services. By making the docHarbor Online service available to the millions of people living with disabilities, Anacomp helps clients effectively reach this growing consumer base. As a leading global provider of document services, Anacomp's accessibility achievements will enable its clients to have the communication tools they need to make their systems easily accessible by employees and customers with disabilities.
